<h1>(Pro-VS) &#8211; NVR / Camera Password Reset with SN</h1>
<p>Important Note</p>
<p>The recorder MUST NOT have a registered email. If it does, you MUST use the registered email method of reset.</p>
<p>This method of password reset requires a computer with the Pro-VS IP Portal software. The Pro-VS IP Portal software must be able to see the NVR and/or the IP Cameras to identify the serial number.</p>
<p>1. Open up the Pro-VS IP Portal software. Locate the NVR or IP Camera that is to be reset in the list and click on the Details button for that device under the Operation column. A window will appear that will allow highlighting and copying of the serial number.</p>

<p>2. Email the serial number of the device and the current date on the device to support@ltsecurityinc.com. Make sure to state in the email that the device being reset is a Pro-VS device. This is a manual process, so there may be a variable length of time before receiving an email back with the appropriate reset code.</p>

<p>3. Access the login window or page and login using the code that was sent back by the LTS Support team as the password.</p>

<p>4. A new window will appear for you to change the password. Type in the same code from the LTS Support team in the security code section. Afterwards, type in a new password in the password and confirm sections.</p>

<h1>(Pro-VS) &#8211; NVR Password Reset with Registered Email</h1>
<p>Important Note</p>
<p>This method requires that an email be set for the administrator account of the recorder. If no email has been set, you must skip over to the next section for Password Reset with Serial Number.</p>
<p>This method also requires using the ProVS Phone Application to facilitate the password reset.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>1. On either the local interface or the browser, click on the Forgot Password button at the login window/screen.</p>

<p>3. Now open the ProVS phone application. Tap on the hamburger menu icon in the top left. Tap on &#8220;Local Config&#8221;, and then tap on &#8220;Forgot Device Password&#8221;.</p>

<p>4. Scan the QR code. After the scan, it will notify you that an email will be sent out to the registered email address with the security code.</p>

<p>6. Go back to the local interface or browser that had the QR code and security code field. Fill in the Security Code into the field and click Ok/Next.</p>

<p>7. There will now be a prompt to create a new password with for the NVR and to confirm as well. On the browser interface, it will also ask for the security code again. Fill in everything and click okay, the password for the recorder is now reset.</p>

<p>Password Reset from the LTS Patinum NVR/DVR</p>
<h1>(Platinum) &#8211; Password Rules (new rules)</h1>
<p>Summary<br />
To ensure the highest level of protection, LTS has launched a new login procedure<br />
that requires users to create a new password for the admin account upon the first login to<br />
all devices. The password must contain 8 to 16 characters, combining numbers,<br />
lowercase letters, uppercase letters, and special characters.<br />
At least two types of the above-mentioned characters are required to activate the device.<br />
The password can not contains the User ID inside.  (ie. &#8220;admin&#8221; in the password is forbidden)</p>
<p>The system will check the password strength; “Risky” passwords will not be accepted.</p>

<p>1. Windows 10 Laptop / PC.</p>
<p>2. Local Network environment.  The recorder or camera is on the same network as your computer.</p>
<p>3. You have administrative rights on your personal computer.</p>

<h2>Resetting the Password</h2>
<p>Step 1. Open the IP Portal first.   Select the device that needs to have its password reset.<br />
Step 2. Select &#8220;Forgot Password.&#8221; on the bottom right corner.</p>

Click Export.   Remember: Export/Import Key must finish within a day.</p>

<p>Step 6. LTS Tech Support will reply email with the unlock file.<br />
You will need to download the attached file onto your personal computer.</p>
<p>REMEMBER:  Export/Import unlock file must process in a day.</p>

<p>Step 7. Select &#8220;Import File&#8221; under Step 2. Select the browse icon next to find the file you received from LTS Tech Support.</p>

<p>If you are using MAC, you can use SADP software from our download site to do the same thing.</p>
<h1>Hardware Reset IP Camera to Factory Defaults</h1>

<div>1.Disconnect the power supply or unplug ethernet cable from POE port.</div>

<div>2.Press and hold the reset button.</div>

<div>3.Keep holding the reset button and restore the power supply/plugin to POE port.</div>

<div>4.Continue to hold the reset button for a further 10 seconds.</div>

<div>5.Release the button and allow the camera to complete a restart/reboot.</div>

<p>There are two ways to reset the login password for the DVR/NVR.</p>

A secured code is required when resetting the password on LTS Platinum Recorders (UI3.0). The secure code will changes based on the System Date.  You need to open the Password Reset window from the Local Console to enter it.<br />

Please make sure you are looking at the correct interface (UI 3.0).<br />

<p>1. Your Main Menu button is located from the bottom right of the screen.  Click it.  If you see something like the picture looks like (ie: Playback Export, Manual HDD, etc..)   Please Log Out first.</p>

<p>Hello, there is a hold on all PT Cloud Unbinding Requests.</p>

<p>1 &#8211; If your DVR/NVR is running 4.0+ Firmware, and you have a mouse and a monitor connected directly to the DVR/NVR, go to the DVR/NVR, and go to the PT Cloud Settings (On some Units it is called Platform Access instead of PT Cloud) if there is an &#8220;Unbind&#8221; Button, click that button, and it should be able to unbind the device from the account.</p>

Select that button, and give the APP some time to process the command.</p>
