HOW DO I HAVE ACCESS TO THE FREE PLAN?

V150
V150 comes with a 7-day free trial of our Elite plan that will give you unlimited photos and 40 HD photos for those 7 days. After your trial period is over, you’ll need to purchase a plan in order to keep receiving photos in your VOSKER mobile app. Photos will still be saved to the MicroSD card of your camera.

V200 and V100
You will receive a 30-day free trial of the Elite Plan where you will be receiving unlimited photos and can request up to 40 HD photos. After the first 30 days of activation on the unlimited plan, your camera will automatically transfer to the free plan where you will receive up to 100 photos a month. You can purchase a paid plan any time after the 30-day trial period is over.

HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD HD PICTURES ON MY PHONE?

Users are now able to get HD versions of their most valuable photos upon request through the VOSKER App or the VOSKER web App*. Each plan has a limit of HD photos to download per month.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TRANSMISSION PLAN FOR MY SECURITY CAMERA?

Cellular security cameras are great for monitoring your property remotely. A notification pops on your phone, and you see somebody lurking around the construction site, the farm or the marina.

This system relies on the data plan you will pick and the number of photo alerts included. But how do you know how many alerts you will need? We listed points to consider when buying your data plan.

Photo count

First, consider how many alerts you expect the security camera to send in a month. Since the data plan works off of a monthly allotment, having a rough estimate based on the 7-day free Elite trial is a good place to start.

Location may come into play. The number of photo alerts may vary if you installed the camera in an empty yard or at a busy security gate. How many times will people or vehicles pass in front of it daily? Also, consider other elements moving in front of the camera, like animals, objects, and weather conditions.

On top of this first estimation, you must factor in your camera settings preferences in the VOSKER app.

How many alerts are you ready to miss?

The camera saves photos on the memory card when you reach the monthly photo alerts. You will no longer receive any alerts in the app until the photo count is reset in the next monthly cycle or unless you upgrade the plan. It all comes down to your tolerance of missing information.

Test it

A great way to evaluate your needs is to get a monthly Elite plan for your newly installed camera. Test the settings to fit your objectives and monitor the photo count. Once the setup is steady, and you get a good idea of the photo alerts, it is time to pick the best plan and frequency.

Remember: you can save 10% off the monthly fee by purchasing the data plan annually.

Flexible

You may use your security camera at different locations or for different purposes within a year, affecting the number of photo alerts you need. Remember, you can upgrade or downgrade a monthly data plan*. It is also possible to suspend its auto-renewal if you need a break.

WHAT CAN I DO TO INCREASE MY PHOTO QUALITY?

Understanding the different features and specifications of the VOSKER cameras can help you choose the right camera at different locations on your property that will give you optimal photo quality. If you intend to set up the camera in a place where the objects are moving fast, choose a camera with a faster trigger speed to ensure the camera activates and captures the photo before the object moves out of the frame. Cameras that have a larger motion detection range are a better choice when you want to set up the camera over larger areas.

WHY DOES THE RESOLUTION ON MY PHOTOS SEEM TO BE LOW?

The photos that your camera is sending have been compressed to facilitate the transfer. You will find the best photo quality directly on the SD card inside your camera. HOW TO CHANGE MY CAMERA SETTINGS FROM THE VOSKER APP

To change your settings for your VOSKER camera, navigate to the “Settings” tab. Make sure to choose the correct camera from the dropdown option at the top. You will see 3 sections: Basic, Cellular Setup, and Advanced Options. You can change the settings under these sections according to your preference and select the “Apply Changes” button to save the settings.

Note: Our cameras communicate with our servers based on the frequency set in your settings. For example: If your Transfer Frequency is set to 2 times a day, this means that your camera will communicate with our servers 2 times a day.

REAL-TIME FACE RECOGNITION

The Optiview VMX/+ performs real-time facial recognition on up to two (2) / thirty two (32) channels simultaneously. The software captures and analyzes facial features to determine gender, age, expression, glasses, mustache, and mask, and then can record the faces and store the associated structured data. The server also filters incoming video to display faces that match target features. Facial recognition requires a camera that supports this feature.

The Optiview VMS and the Optiview VMX are both multi-site remote monitoring software that can be used to view cameras and devices from a centralized location. WHEN WILL THE VMS STOP BEING SUPPORTED AND AVAILABLE?

The Optiview VMS 2018 will continue to be available to download for a limited amount of time, but will no longer be supported going forward.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF DEVICES THAT CAN BE PUT ON THE FREE VMX OR THE PAID VMX+?

The free version of the Optiview VMX will suport up to 64 cameras. If the user wants to view more than 64 cameras, they will have to purchase the Base License, and then an additional license for each channel, up to 512. See which software is right for you here!

HOW DO I UPGRADE FROM THE VMS TO THE VMX?

The VMX software is completely different from the Optiview VMS and a user can use both. The VMX Server and Client software can be downloaded here.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE VMX SERVER AND THE VMX CLIENT?

The server runs all the services and acts as a connection point for several clients that will handle the management of configurations, devices and integrations of one or more IP devices supported by the Optiview VMX software.

IF I HAVE THE SERVER DOWNLOADED, HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE CLIENT?

The client can be downloaded using the link from the server user interface labeled as “Download Client”. I also made a link for the Client software within our technical support page which Georgia can use, to make a download link within the product resource page.

CAN I DESIGNATE THE NUMBER OF CAMERA CHANNELS BEING SEEN BY THE VMX PER DVR OR NVR?

Yes. The number of cameras “actually” in use by a device (for example a 32-ch NVR) can be designated within the VMX so that it can only sees the actual number of channels. For example, If a user is using multiple 32 channel recorders but not all channels, the VMX can be set to not count every single channel and maximize the usage.

CAN I DESIGNATE THE NUMBER OF ACCESS CONTROL DOORS BEING SEEN BY THE VMX?

No. Whatever the maximum number of doors that an access control panel can handle is, that is what the VMX will see. For example, a CAS-4MC (4 door master control panel) is expandable up to 64 doors, so this will max out the VMX. No additional master control panels can be added unless the user upgrades to the paid version of the Optiview VMX.

CAN I SEE THE HUMAN TEMPERATURE DETECTION & NOTIFICATION SOLUTION ON THE VMX?

The human temperature text overlay can be seen at LIVE mode and Playback mode at the VMX.

HOW MANY USERS CAN ACCESS THE VMX AT ONE TIME?

To add your Dahua device using the Amazon Alexa app:

Let’s assume that you’ve installed and configured your Alexa-compatible home security camera already and you have an Alexa-enabled smart speaker.

Now you need to log in to your Alexa app or make an account if you don’t already have one. Simply download the Alexa app and follow the prompts to sign in/register a new account.

Open the Alexa app and choose “Skills & Games” in the menu. Type “Ring” in the search box, open the skill, and choose “Enable.”

You’ll be asked to enter your Ring account credentials to pair your Ring account to the Alexa app.

How to using PTZ function on NVR?

1, please left click your mouse, you will see a smart menu below, click PTZ control.

How to setup motion tracking

If you add camera to NVR, please go to video detection to check whether your nvr support motion tracking.

Usually, NVR not support motion tracking, you need to add camera to the app Eseecloud, then add to NVR, so that you can setup motion tracking on the app.

1, Into device—click setting icon on upper right corner—go to smart detection alarm—enable motion tracking option.

How to set preset position cruise

1, go to setting interface—ptz control—cruise mode—select preset position cruise.

2, go back to record interface–click Preset–add more than two different positions–go to More–click cruise.

After setting successful, the camera will cruise within the preset position range.

Camera not recording after install SD card

1, Please go to setting interface–Storage setting–local storage space–check the status of the SD card.

2, SD card is in normal status, please check if SD card capacity is full, and then format the SD card.

1) Right click the mouse–system setup–channel setup–PTZ setup. select correct channel. Add first cruise point,

2) click add to set first position (the default is 1, which does not need to be changed),

3) then click preset box select 2–add, add multiple cruise points in this way. You also can select “keep time” you want, preferably in five seconds or more.

4) And then click “?” question mark into the PTZ control interface–click PTZ control option to set first position, then click store.

5) change the preset box to 2, adjust the camera lens to second position–store

6) right click anywhere –return to the PTZ setting interface–apply—ok.

3. Also go to “Menu–Network–Advanced”,to disable the “PPPoE”

4. if it shows: network disconnected, plz enable the DHCP in this path ” Menu–Network–Basic-TCP/IP ” and click “Apply”. After that, go back to “P2P” and check if the device status is online or not

5. if you connect the network cable to the lan port or the lan/wan port of the router

We need to connect it to the lan port of the router,plz take a photo of yours for us to check.

6.APP Share Device

APP Share Device

One device is linked to one user only. The NVR system can only be controlled by one authorized account, which can share the device with others to prevent attack or hacking.

There are 2 ways to share the device with others. For the admin user, please follow the instructions to share the device:

1.Type in “Menu Icon ” and navigate to “Devices”

2. Tape on “… ” > “Share”, You can select a single channel to share or select the entire NVR system to share

3.Share the device by typing in the user name you want to share and selecting the function as needed.

• The other user needs to register a Guard Viewer APP account and provide the user name for sharing.

• After that, when this user login the APP will find the device by navigating to “Devices”.

4.Share the device by generating a QR code

• Create a sharing password and set the valid period

• Click “Generate”, your APP will generate a QR code

• Other users can use the APP to add the device by scanning the QR code you sent

12.One or two cameras are not working

(1) BNC Cable connected to Camera is broken

Step: Use another BNC cable to connect the camera to have a try

Step: After changing the BNC cable, and still there is no camera image, plz insert the camera into another port of the DVR to have a try

Four cameras or above not working is an abnormal situation. It’s not only a camera issue, which could be related to a power supply or power splitter connected to four cameras

If the power supply or power splitter connected to four cameras is broken, which can’t provide power supply to cameras

Step:

(1）Change to another 12V 2A Power Supply to connect to four cameras to have a try. We wanna make sure if this is related to the power adapter

(2) Change another 1-4 way power splitter to connect four cameras to have a try. We wanna make sure if this is related to the power adapter

( If you do not have another power adapter/splitter, plz use the other power adapter connected to the four normal cameras)

After making sure the power supply or power splitter is doing fine, but still no camera image, which means the DVR box is having issue

How To Install The Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

Amcrest Orion is a video surveillance software application that provides an all-in-one, full-featured solution to manage and monitor Amcrest network cameras, NVRs, and DVRs, etc. The software supports up to 64 devices for free with a maximum of 256 channels. It is currently a Windows based only software, however, to download the latest version of this software click here.

For more information on how to install the software, please refer to the information provided below.

Step 1: Download the Amcrest Orion software and open the .exe file.  Select the software license agreement and click Next.

Step 2: Select an Installation Path if needed using the Browse option. Click Install.

Note: Allow the components to install on your computer.

Step 3: Click Run.

Step 4: Select a network mode and the network card and click Next Step.

Step 5: Set the TLS self adaptive mode if necessary. Please note, this is disabled by default but can be enabled if needed. Click Finish.

Note: TLS self adaptive mode is a security feature that allows Amcrest devices to automatically switch between Transport Layer Security (TLS) versions 1.2 and 1.3 depending on the capabilities of the connected device. This ensures that the highest level of security is always used, while also avoiding compatibility issues with older devices.

Step 6: Download the Client software to your computer.

Note: Click proceed anyway in the browser if needed to download the client software.

Step 7: Click Download and follow the steps to install the client software to your computer and run the client software.

Step 8: Enter the IP address found on the server client into the Server Address field. The default username will be system. Enter a password for the client account into the interface, click Next Step.

Note: Set security questions, this information will be used to access your client software if you forgot the password. Click OK. This will load the client software.

How To Add An Amcrest Camera To Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

Before connecting your device to the Amcrest Orion software, please make sure the device is initialized and on the same network as the computer. You will need the username and password for the device before you are able to add it to the camera. For more information, please refer to the information provided below.

Step 1: Access the client software and select the configuration icon. Select Device.

Step 2: All connected devices should be displayed in the Discover Device menu, however, click the Refresh button to refresh the interface if needed.  Select the device and click Add to Device List.

Step 3: Enter the password for the device and click OK.

The device will be added successfully.

Step 4: To view the device, access the main menu and click on Monitoring Center. Double click the device from the device list to view the live feed.

How to Use the Dewarping Features on a Fisheye Camera Using Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

Fisheye dewarping (Fisheye unwrapping) provides a correction in the distortion of images obtained from a camera equipped with a fisheye lens. This allows the user to view different aspects and views of the 360° image provided by the fisheye lens of the camera. For more information on how to use the fisheye dewarping functions in the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software, please refer to the information provided below.

Step 1: Log into the Amcrest Orion Software and select Monitoring Center.

Step 2: Select your fisheye camera from the device list to view the live feed. Right-click on the live feed to access the live view options menu. Hover your mouse pointer over Installation Mode and select an installation mode.

Installation Modes Explained

	Wall Mount: This allows you to access preset fisheye features based on a wall or sideways mount installation.
	Ceiling Mount: This allows you to access preset fisheye features based on a ceiling or straight mount installation.
	Ground Mount: This allows you to access preset fisheye features based on a ground position mount installation.

Note: Different installation modes will provide different dewarping functions. For more information on the dewarping functions provided with each installation mode, please refer to Dewarping Features Explained.

Step 3: Hover your mouse over Fisheye View and select a dewarping option from the provided list of icons.

	Provides a 360°expanded panorama of the live feed as well as an independent sub-image on the top. The 360° panorama supports zoom and left and right scanning. All movements are controlled by the top sub-image.
	Provides two inverted live view images on both the top and bottom feed. Use the mouse to adjust and move the feed in a left or right simultaneously.
	Provides a 360°panorama view based on two independent left and right sub images. The sub images support zoom and 360° left and right pan. Hover the mouse over the bottom center to display a panoramic viewing option.
	Provides a four-layered view of the live feed. Each quadrant is centrally controlled via a control center and depicted with different colors. First Quadrant: Green, Second Quadrant: Blue, Third Quadrant: Yellow, Fourth Quadrant: Purple.

How To Download Recordings Using Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

Recordings in the playback menu can be downloaded (exported) using the Amcrest Orion Surveillance software. To download the free software click here.

Downloading a Recording

Step 1: Open the Amcrest Orion surveillance software and select Download Center.

Step 2: Select the device in the Resources menu and click the calendar option in the Time menu. Select a date and time range of the recordings. Click OK.

Step 3: Click Search. Recordings can be accessed in a timeline or file format. If downloading from a timeline range, select a start and end time in the timeline, enter the software user password and click OK. Verify the start and end time of the recording and click OK. The recording will begin to download.

Step 4: Click the Downloaded tab to view and locate the storage path of the recording. Click the  icon to locate the downloaded recording on your computer.

Note: If downloading multiple recordings, it is recommended to use the File menu. Select all recordings you want to download and select Download Selected File. To download a single file, click the Operation icon.

How to Customize Video Settings Using Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

If you are having issues customizing the video settings for your device in the app then you can use Amcrest Orion Surveillance software to adjust these settings. Step 1: Open the Amcrest Orion software and select the settings  icon. Select Device.

Step 2: Select Device Config, select the device, and click Parameter Setting.

Step 3: Use the video settings options provided in the camera properties menu to customize the video settings. Click Apply.

How To Setup Recording Schedules In The Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

The Amcrest Orion Surveillance software allows you the opportunity to set your added device to record on motion or on the continuous (general) recording schedules. The software uses a recording plan template to set recording schedules. For more information on how to set up recording schedules, please refer to the information provided below.

Click on the  icon located in the Home menu and select Storage Plan.

Setting a Recording Plan

A general recording plan will allow the software and selected devices to record 24/7.

Ensure the option is enabled and click the Recording Time dropdown menu. The schedule will be set to record 24/7, all days of the week, however, can be set to recording during the week or only on the weekends. However, a custom Time Template can be used if needed.

Enter a name for the custom time template and click the period settings (  )option. A total of 6 periods can be set if needed by clicking the “+” icon. Enter a start and end time for the schedule. For instance, in this example we will set it to only recording from 6am (0600) – 4pm (1600). Select which days the schedule will apply and click OK.

The schedule will now be set in the software. Click OK.

Select the newly created recording schedule template from the Recording Time menu. In the Recording Channel, select the devices you would like the schedules to apply. Click OK.

The storage plan will be will now be applied to the selected devices.

The same concept can be applied to motion detection recording plans as well if needed.

How To Set an Email Server In Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

Email Setup will be dependent on your specific email provider. In this example, we will be using Gmail. A email server can be used to send email notifications or during password recovery. For more information on how to setup an email server, please refer to the information provided below.

Step 1: Open the Amcrest Orion Surveillance software, select the  option, and select System Parameters.

Step 2: Select Email Server and enable the option.

Step 3: Select the email provider from the SMTP Server Type dropdown menu and enter all requested information into the interface. Please note, the password should be your Gmail generated app password. **Please refer to Allow Less Secure Apps (Updated) section for more details.

Allowing Less Secure Apps (Updated)

As of May 30th, 2022, Google will be removing the allow less secure apps option, this means a generated password will need to be entered that will allow email alerts to come through on your account. Before proceeding, please ensure 2 factor authentication is enabled in your account settings. For more information on how to do this, please refer to the information provided below.

1.) In Gmail, click the account avatar/icon picture located in the upper right of the window.
2.) Now click the blue button that says “Manage Your Google Account”

Once on the account setting page please click “Security”

3) Click onApp passwords

4) Enter your email password, and click Next.
5) Select an option from the provided drop down menus and select Custom. Enter a name for the authentication and click Generate.

6) Google will provide a security password which must be entered into the device’s Email Setup interface in the device’s web UI.

Step 4: Click Test Email. Once confirmed, click Save.

When creating a tour it is highly recommended to create a view first before creating the tour. A view is a collection of cameras/channels shown in a window. This can be a collection of devices from the same DVR/NVR or a collection from different devices in a single view. For efficiency purposes, it is recommended to keep cameras from the same NVR in the same view. Conversely, this is not mandatory and each view can be customized based on your needs.

Step 1: Log into the Amcrest Orion Software and select Monitoring Center.

Note: Views can be customized to a range of a single camera to 64 cameras simultaneously. Please keep in mind the more cameras that are opened the more network resources are being used. Our recommendation is to set a max of 9 camera views or less but in our example, we will use a wide variety to show the flexibility of the feature.

Step 2: Select each device from the device list and click the save icon (  ). Enter a name for the View and click OK.

Note: If you are using a DVR/NVR with multiple channels, it is necessary to expand the device to show the individual channels associated with your device.

If you are performing this procedure on multiple computers, the process will need to be performed on each desktop/laptop. For this reason, we recommend renaming the cameras in a way to know which cameras/channels go together.

Step 3: Select View. Select the dropdown option next to the View folder. Select the newly created view to load the live feed of the cameras in the interface.

Tour Setup

When you have finished creating the view you can now start configuring a tour. A tour will allow the software to shift between multiple PTZ presets set by the user in the software. If using a PTZ camera, please navigate to Add Device menu and select the edit icon (  ) for the device. Select Video Channel  and ensure the Camera Type is set to PTZ Camera. Click OK.

Note: At least 2 presets must be set to configure a tour.

Step 1: Access the Monitoring Center, select the device, access the PTZ menu, and select the down arrow.

Step 2: Use the PTZ option to rotate the camera to a specific point. Click the Edit (  ) icon and name the tour. Click the checkmark (  ) when finished.

Note: Click the Go icon (  ) to call a preset. The camera will rotate to a related position.

Step 3: Once the presets are created, click the  icon and select the Edit (  )icon.

Step 4: Enter a name for the tour and click the add (  ) icon. Select all applicable presets related to the tour and click OK.

Note: Click the play (  ) icon to run the tour.

Step 5: Navigate to the Resources menu, right click on the device to set a tour duration.

Note: To stop the tour, click on the stop (  ) icon in the Tour (  )menu.

How to Recover a Forgotten Admin Password on Amcrest Orion Surveillance Software

If you have forgotten the admin password to log into the Amcrest Orion Surveillance software, the password can be recovered using the Forgotten Password option. This option can be found on the login screen once the software has been opened. For more information on how to retrieve your forgotten password, please refer to the information provided below.

Step 1: Open the Amcrest Orion Surveillance software and click Forgotten Password.

Step 2: Verify the account’s username and click Next Step.

Step 3: The password can be reset using security questions or through email verification. Please note, the password cannot be reset if there is no email server established. Once the security questions or answered, click Next Step.

Step 4: Enter the new password into the provided fields, click Next Step.

Step 5: Click Log In Now.

Note: Enter the new password and click Log In to open the software. Select Remember Password or Auto Login to allow the software to open on your machine without having to reenter it.

How To View Events Using The Playback Feature In Amcrest Orion

The monitoring center allows the user to view both the live view and playback of a connected device. The monitoring center can be found on the Home menu of the software. The playback option allows the user to view motion, human, or vehicle detection events retained on the device.

Step 1: Click on the Playback option and select your device. Double click to load the initial recording in the timeline.

Note: Use the timeline to manually scroll through the events of the day. The calendar option can be used to choose different dates and times of the events.

Enable Vehicle Analytics

Vehicle analytics uses powerful edge-based capabilities to detect vehicles and filter results based on vehicle color and body type.

How it Works

Vehicle analytics leverages the cameras’ powerful onboard processing capabilities to detect the presence of, and analyze the properties of vehicles as they appear in the frame. As vehicles are detected, high-resolution images are taken and analyzed for vehicle objects. Selected images are then sent to Verkada’s cloud-based Command platform, where users can filter historical clips for vehicles and search for specific vehicles by time, date, body type, and color.

All Verkada cameras perform vehicle detection (as outlined above) out of the box. However, to enable more complex analytics, such as the ability to search for vehicles by color and body type, vehicle analytics must be turned on.

Verkada’s people and vehicle search features use advanced computer vision functionality to identify people and vehicles within the camera’s field of view and quickly find relevant events.

The Verkada Command UI enables instant video replay previews and trajectory viewing. Trajectory analysis features offers possibilities for searching events, reduces the number of missed detections, improves the detection distance, and reduces duplicates.

You can view people and vehicles detected by a Verkada camera within historical footage.

1.In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.

2.Select a camera to view its feed.

3.At the top, click Motion.

4.To the right, click Show Pathsto toggle on/off the feature.

5.(Optional) Make a selection on the video player grid to search for motion in the area.

6.(Optional) Use the People, Vehicle, and Date filters for more granular searches

7.Hovering over a thumbnail with the people or vehicle filters selected gives a count of the people/vehicles in the frame with an option to archive the clip. By hovering over the previews, you can see tracks for the individual.

8.Click the thumbnail to be taken to the exact time in the recorded footage.

Note: People and/or vehicles will only be available if these objects were detected in the camera frame.

View people trajectories (paths)

The people trajectories feature visualizes the paths of people moving through the scene to show the trajectories of each detected person.

Trajectories drastically improve the motion event recall and enable the cameras to recognize people and vehicles at a further distance. For a detailed breakdown of the detection ranges of each model, see the People Analytics Guide.

1.In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.

2.Select a camera to view its feed.

3.At the top, click Motion.

Set People of Interest notifications

To receive alerts for People of Interest, you need to set up alert based on your events.

IMPORTANT

People of Interest replaced Profiles on June 8, 2023. Profiles created before this date that were not set as People of Interest are not automatically send People of Interest alerts.

To set up notifications when a particular face is detected:

Sometimes duplicate People of Interest are accidentally created. If this happens, you can merge the duplicate People of Interest profiles.

Type the desired name and at the bottom of the tag list, click Add Tags.

The Occupancy Trends feature provides organizations with an estimate of the foot traffic at critical locations within their facilities. These estimates can provide valuable insights for optimizing staffing, adjusting hours of operation, and or tracking the

performance of marketing and promotional activities.

Note: This feature is available on the CB52, CB62, CM42, CD32, CD42, CD52, and CD62 models.

Installation guidelines

Required. To use this feature, People Analytics must be enabled. To do so, follow the steps in the People Analytics guide.

For best performance, we recommend these installation guidelines during the installation of a camera where Occupancy Trends will be enabled:

1.In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.

2.Select a camera and go to the camera’s Settings page.

3.Scroll down to the Analytics section and toggle on Occupancy Trends.

4.Return to the camera’s main page and select the Analytics tab (displayed below the camera’s live feed).

5.Click Add lines to open the wizard.

6.Click and drag the camera view to draw a line across the screen. You can draw multiple lines, though data from all lines are aggregated.

7.Click one of the dropdown menus (displayed near the arrow heads) to change how users crossing in that direction are counted. The Ignore option indicates that users crossing this direction are not counted by the Occupancy Trends feature.

8.After you set up the lines for the camera’s view, click Save.

Before referring to this Mobile Application User Guide you must first download and install the mobile application on your mobile device (smartphone or tablet). You can find links to the mobile application(s) on www.alibisecurity.com at the following location:

Choose the link that applies to your mobile device (iOS or Android), download and install the application. Now you are ready to install and activate cameras.

Adding a Camera via the Mobile Application

.

The first time you login to the mobile app, you will be required to enter your username (email address) and the password. The screen will show no cameras attached to your account. You will tap the ADD A CAMERA button on the screen and it will prompt you with a second screen to select the type of camera you want to install. Tap on the ADD A CLOUD CAM section. The next screen gives you specific instructions for attaching your cloud-enabled camera to the network.

IMPORTANT: All POE and WiFi cameras must be hard-wired into the local network in order to be discovered by the Alibi Cloud VS solution.

.

Once you have connected the cameras you want to add to your Alibi Cloud VS account to the local area network (LAN) you can tap the CONTINUE button.

The next screen displays your local network and the cameras that are available to be added to your Alibi Cloud VS account. Tap on the camera you want to add from the list and you will be prompted to name your camera. Type in a name and choose CONTINUE. The system will ping your camera, check credentials and firmware and connect. You should receive a confirmation screen that the camera has been added then tap CONTINUE.

To get your WiFi camera to the wireless network you need to connect the WiFi camera to the wireless network. Tap the zone that the WiFi camera is in. This takes you into the camera selector menu. Select the WiFi camera you want to attach and it will open the camera settings menu. On the main screen, under NETWORK

SETTINGS, it will say “Not Connected”. Select this menu option and it will take you into the wireless connection menu, displaying the available wireless networks to connect to.

Tap the wireless network you want to attach the camera to. A login screen will open up asking you to enter the password for the wireless network. Enter the password and tap CONNECT. The system will them connect the camera to the wireless network and you will receive a confirmation screen once completed.

IMPORTANT: You must keep the WiFi camera hard-wired into the network until you login to the wireless network. Once you get the camera connected to the wireless network you can disconnect the network cable and move the camera anywhere that it has good signal strength to connect to the wireless network.

From the main dashboard screen you have two different ways you can add additional cameras to the system. If you want to add another camera to the same zone you already have setup, simply choose the zone on the main dashboard screen, it will pull up the camera viewing screen and you will tap the Gear icon at the bottom. It will open a screen that shows the current camera(s) assigned to the zone and the ADD A NEW CAMERA button.

Tap this and follow the instructions to add a new camera.

The second option for adding cameras is to setup a new zone and add the camera to that new zone. From the main dashboard screen tap the + icon in the top left corner of the screen. This opens a new screen that lets you setup a new zone. Click ADD CAMERA and then follow the instructions for adding a new camera explained previously in the User Guide.

From this menu you can also move cameras currently signed to other zones to the new zone. Simply click SELECT CAMERAS FROM OTHER ZONES. A menu will be displayed showing cameras already attached to other zones. Click the camera and move it to the new zone.

.

After adding the camera you will be taken to the main camera dashboard screen. From this view you can see all of the zones cameras have been assigned to. Select the zone you want to view. An individual thumbnail view of the camera(s) will be displayed. Tap on the gear icon at the bottom of the screen and it will take you into the settings selection menu. Choose the arrow to the right of the camera that you want to adjust settings for and you will be taken to the settings menu for that specific camera.

In the settings menu for each camera you are able to control the following settings:

Account Settings and TouchID/FaceID Login

.

After you login and add a camera to your system you can select the home button at the bottom left of the screen and it will take you to your main dashboard. Select the person icon in the upper right and this will take you into account settings. From here you can enable remote support access, enable/disable push notifications and enable TouchID/FaceID login for easy access when starting the app.

To view live video from your cameras connected to Alibi Cloud VS, go to the main dashboard screen and select a zone to view. Once in the zone, you will see the individual cameras with ‘play arrows’ located in the middle of the thumbnail screen. Simply click on one of the ‘play arrows’ in the thumbnail and live viewing will begin. You will see the word “LIVE” appear at the top of the thumbnail viewing screen. Want to enlarge the viewing area? You can simply turn your smartphone/mobile device to landscape to view in full screen mode.

Viewing recorded video (footage) is also very simple. You will need to choose the zone that includes the camera you want to review recorded video from. This will display thumbnail views of all cameras associated with this zone. If you have multiple cameras in a zone, you will see multiple thumbnails. To view recorded footage for

a specific camera tap the clock/rewind icon ( ) at the bottom of that camera thumbnail view. This will take you into the footage screen where you can review a timeline, with detection events noted. You can scroll through the timeline by scrolling with your finger, either up or down, to view events that happened earlier or later in the day.

There are settings and features on the playback screen that make it easier for you to review video quickly. You can select the ZOOM IN button and the timeline will appear in smaller increments, allowing you to find events more accurately. You tap the MORE menu and adjust playback up to 10x faster than normal.

The SUMMARY button at the bottom of the page lets you create and download a video summary of detection events for the last 24 hours. Simply click the button and the app pulls detection events into a single summary video. Creating a summary takes a few minutes and once completed you have the option to save the 24 hour summary to your mobile device or share it with someone else.

If you have forgotten your password or simply want to reset it, you can easily do this by selecting the person icon in the main dashboard screen. Click ‘Logout’ and on the next screen tap ‘Log In’ and it will take you to the main login page. Tap ‘Forgot Your Password?’ and a screen will appear for you to enter your email address. By entering your email address and clicking ‘Send’ you will receive a secure link in your email to reset your password for your Alibi Cloud VS account. This new password will be valid in desktop and mobile apps.
