How to properly install the security camera?

🟠 When installing security cameras, LongPlus always recommends placing cameras up high. The outdoor installation location should be 7ft away from the ground. Here are the best places to install security cameras around your home: front & back doors, garage & driveway, yard, common areas, main stairway or hallway, or any side doors or large first-floor windows that an intruder could gain access through.

🟠 Typically, home cameras are placed in the corners of the room to optimize the viewing angle. LongPlus recommends at least two cameras to fully cover a large space, such as a living room. To fully monitor your home, users can add cameras in each room to achieve a complete home monitoring system.

🟠 Battery cameras can not be installed behind a window/glass if you want to use the “Motion Detection” feature.

Battery cameras use PIR (passive infrared) motion detection, an energy-efficient (saving battery power) technology that captures motions by detecting infrared radiation (radiant heat) emitted or reflected by objects. When the camera is mounted behind a window/glass, infrared radiation does not pass through the window/glass. As a result, the “Motion Detection feature” does not work reliably. If you want the camera to detect motions outside, it is recommended that you mount the camera outside.

For plug-in/wired cameras, the answer is yes, as they use camera video analytics rather than PIR sensors to detect motions. As long as they “see”, they can detect motions. So you can mount the camera behind a window/glass with confidence.

How to find the serial number of LongPlus security camera?

🟠 Each LongPlus security camera has a serial number. These are usually located on the body label of the security camera, starting with S/N:*****. Also, if you’ve added your camera to the app, you can also tap the camera “setting” icon > tap the “>” extension icon > tap the “More info” button to find the camera’s serial number.

Is LongPlus security camera waterproof?

🟠 Yes. The waterproof rating of LongPlus camera is IP65. It can be “protected against water jets from any angle”. Generally, the camera can be used outdoors on ordinary rainy and snowy days. However, it may get damaged in extreme weather. But if the camera is installed under the roof or in a place with some shelter, it can get protection to a certain extent. Besides, please don’t expose the camera’s charging port, power button, and microSD card slot to water.

What do the indicator lights on LongPlus security camera mean?

🔵 Solid Blue Light – The camera is working properly.

🟡 Solid Yellow Light – The camera is charging.

🟢 Solid Green Light – The camera charging is complete.

⚪ No Light – The camera is in sleep/off mode.

Can I talk to someone via LongPlus App?

🟠 Yes, LongPlus security camera features two-way audio capability, which means you can listen and talk to someone in real-time with simple clicks in the App.

Do LongPlus security cameras need an app to work?

🟠 Yes! All LongPlus smart security cameras are connected to the LongPlus APP. Compatible and compatible with the latest versions of iOS/Android devices. Installing LongPlus app is a breeze and it comes with voice prompts to guide you step-by-step in minutes.

What is the default language of LongPlus security cameras?

🟠 The default language of LongPlus security camera is set during production and testing in the factory production process. After connecting with LongPlus APP, the language of the camera will follow the language of the APP.

Can I see the infrared light at night?

🟠 No, the night vision infrared light is invisible to human eyes. If you turn on your phone’s camera and point it at the camera lens, then you will be able to see it.

How to format a Micro SD card?

🟠 Sometimes after inserting a Micro SD card, the camera will report “Please use the app to format your SD card first”, that’s because your Micro SD card is not the FAT32 format that the camera supports. In this case, please tap the camera Setting icon > tap SD card > tap Format to format it.

How to record/save videos on a Micro SD card?

🟠 Installing a Micro SD card does not mean the camera will record a video to the Micro SD card all the time.

When the camera detects a movement, it will record a video to the cloud and the cloud recording will display in the Library in the app. If apart from the cloud recordings you want to save backup videos on a Micro SD card at the same time, you can insert a Micro SD card into the camera.

🟠 Here are tips:

1. Find the Micro SD card slot and insert your Micro SD card: Mostly, the Micro SD card slot is next to the power button and is under the rubber plug of the camera body. However, for some models of cameras, you may need to take off the outer shell of the camera to find the Micro SD card slot.

2. If the Micro SD card is detected, you will hear “SD card detected” at the time when it is inserted, and you can see both the storage of the Micro SD card and “SD Card Video” in the app.

Please note that the camera only supports legitimate brand-name (SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston) Micro SD cards, but may not be able to support no-brand, fake, expansion (the storage is extended), and read-only (you aren’t able to put a file to it) Micro SD cards.

How to view videos on the Micro SD card?

You can view videos on the Micro SD card from the app or on your computer.

To view videos on the Micro SD card from the app, please tap the camera “setting” icon on the app homepage > tap “SD card video” on the “Camera Setting” page > select the date on the top > swipe the screen left and right until the green vertical line overlaps the grey “bubble”( If there is no grey “bubble”, that means there are no motions detected in that period).

If you want to zoom in on the specific time before playing a video, you can swipe two fingers left and right at the same time or tap the “magnifying glass” icon.

How to activate cloud storage?

🟠 The cloud storage we gift you is automatically activated and contains free 3 days rolling cloud storage. You can view the cloud-stored videos in the last 7 days at any time.

When the SD card is full will it overwrite the older files?

🟠 Yes, when the SD card is full, the camera will delete the earlier recorded video so you don’t need to format the SD card manually.

Can the camera be used without a memory card?

🟠 Without a memory card, the recorded video will be automatically saved in the cloud, you can watch the video for nearly 7 days in the cloud.

How long does it take to charge LongPlus camera once?

🟠 It will take about 8 -15 hours to fully charge the camera once. When the security camera is fully charged, the indicator light will turn solid green.

Why can’t the battery be charged?

🟠 The following factors may cause charge failure. Please check them one by one:

(1) The charging device is not suitable, or it malfunctions. Please make sure the power adapter and charging cable are in good condition. The power adapter specification is “5V/1.5A”.

(2) The charging port is defective. Possible causes include: the Micro USB cable and the charger or the charging port of the camera are not plugged in properly; there are objects in the charger or the charging port of the camera.

(3) Please confirm whether there are objects in the camera’s charging port or the charger port and clean it before charging.
Please ensure that the Micro USB cable is in good contact with the ports on both ends of the charger and camera.

(4) You can try to connect the Micro USB cable and the charger to other devices (such as mobile phones or computers) to see if they work normally. If anyone doesn’t work, please change to a new one to try again.

(5) The long-time operation leads to charge port oxidation or internal looseness. Please repair or replace the charge port immediately.
The charging cable is damaged or broken. Please replace the Micro USB cable that can work normally.

(6) The charging cable should not be too long. The required cable length is generally not more than 16 feet (5 m). Please replace the Micro USB cable with a suitable length.

(7) The charging environment is not suitable; excessively high or low temperature makes charging impossible. Please move to a place with an appropriate temperature environment (0°C ~ 45°C) for charging.

If the above are ruled out but the issue still persists, please submit feedback from the app for further technical assistance.

Why can’t the battery be used for a long time?

🟠 The battery life mainly depends on the total working duration of the camera. The following factors may lead to fast battery consumption. Please check them one by one:

1. Users frequently view live streams/The camera is frequently activated to record videos.
In order to make the camera work longer, please avoid turning on the live broadcast for a long time.

2. Poor Wi-Fi connection to the camera
If the camera’s Wi-Fi connection is bad or unstable, it will continue to actively search for networks, so the battery will drain quickly.
Please try to place the camera near the Wi-Fi router. Thick walls, bricks, ceramics, electromagnetic equipment, large amounts of liquid, and large metal objects can interfere with Wi-Fi signals. Please try to avoid these objects.

3. Extremely cold weather shortens battery life
The operating temperature of the camera is -10°~45 °C. Please do not place the camera in an extremely cold environment.

4. Night Sight will consume more battery power
When you enable Night Sight, the camera will enter night mode when the light is darker than the threshold (sensitivity level). Camera performance is improved when it is dark.
Therefore, for sharp nighttime images, we don’t recommend disabling it, although it may drain more battery power. But if you still want to disable it, you can tap the camera “Settings” icon > tap “Lighting Settings” > close “Night Sight”.

How can I extend the battery life?

🟠 The battery life is largely determined by the number of recordings and the number and duration of live. Here are the suggestions to extend the battery life:

(1) To reduce false triggers. Change the location or angle of the camera. Please allow us to explain how motion detection works: when the PIR sensor perceives a change in the environment, motion detection will be triggered. The change in the environment can be a moving object, light change, the alternation of hot and cold air, etc. Particularly common false triggers include trees shaking after being blown by the wind, the cold air of the air conditioning, etc.

(2) Set motion detection sensitivity to Low or Medium. After doing that, the distance the PIR sensor can detect will become shorter so that false triggers may be reduced.

(3) Shorten the recording duration of the camera. Currently, the camera-supported recording durations are 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds, and automatic (up to 3 minutes). For your reference:

(4) Set Sleep mode. This feature allows you to schedule the working hours for the camera. Whether the camera enters sleep mode on schedule, or you enable Sleep, the camera will be deactivated. Under this condition, the live feed will not be accessed, motion detection (including push notifications, recordings, and camera alarm) will stop working. This can reduce power consumption to save battery life.

(5) If possible, you can try to watch live feeds or adjust camera settings on your mobile phones less frequently.

(6) To avoid or reduce the battery consumption caused by poor network connection. You can place the camera as close to the router as possible, and try to avoid thick walls, bricks, ceramics, electromagnetic wave equipment, a large amount of liquid, and large metal objects.

(7) We suggest that the camera be installed in a suitable temperature environment (14°F~113°F).

(8) It is generally not recommended that you turn off night vision, but if you do not need to monitor at night (watch live and video), you can turn off night vision.

Will Wi-Fi environment affect the camera battery?

🟠 Yes, an unstable or poor network environment will cause the camera to transmit data multiple times, the camera keeps actively searching for the network, or even reconnect to Wi-Fi continuously, which will result in faster battery consumption. Multi-layer concrete walls, brick walls, and overcrowded Wi-Fi channels will cause a bad Wi-Fi environment.

To save the camera’s battery life, please ensure that the network connection is strong.

How to charge the camera?

🟠 Connect the Micro USB cable to a 5V/1.5A power adapter.

🟠 Connect the other end of the USB cable to the camera.

🟠 Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.

🟠 Use the solar panel to charge.

Annke Vision – Access the DVR/NVR/IP Camera via Guarding Vision Software on PC (Via IP Address)

This article shows you the steps to access the ANNKE system on a computer via the client software Guarding Vision.

Adding via IP address only allow local access (ANNKE system and computer must be in the same network/router). But you will get a better experience when watching camera live view/playback and download recordings, etc.

To access the system remotely on Guarding Vision, please add via P2P Cloud. See this instruction.

1. Download and install the software Guarding Vision on your computer.

2. Plug the ANNKE system into your router via an Ethernet cable.

3. Make sure your computer has been connected to the same router as the ANNKE system/IP camera.

4. Run the software Guarding Vision. Register an administrator account.

Note: This account is only for logging in to Guarding Vision. It’s not the same as your ANNKE system account. (It is suggested to select “Enable Auto-login)

5. Run the software, and go to Device Management -> Device Type -> Device.
If the system and computer are in the same LAN network, you can see the device information under the Online Device list. Select your device, click on Add to Client.

6. On the pop-up page, set the details as the picture below shows, then click on ‘Add’.

Note:

7. The device information will then be shown on the tab page Device for Management. You can see the Net Status is online as the picture shows..

8. Go to the Main View tab page, click on the folder under the Camera list to expand the camera channels. Double-click on the channels to see the live streaming.

PS: If the camera list does not show any cameras, as shown below. Please go to the Device Management page and manually add the “Group” and name it. And then, please import the Group and select “import all”. Finally, we can go back to the Main View  tab page, and click on the folder under the Camera list to expand the camera channels. Double-click on the channels to see the live streaming.

Annke Vision – Access the DVR/NVR System via ANNKE Vision software on PC (Via P2P Cloud)

This article shows you the steps to access the ANNKE system on a computer via the client software ANNKE Vision.

Adding via P2P Cloud allows remote access (ANNKE system and computer can be in the different network/router). While you may find the camera live view/playback and recordings download become laggy due to unstable network.

To access the system locally on ANNKE Vision, please add via IP address. See this instruction.

Steps:

1. Download and install the software Annke Vision on your computer.

2. Plug the ANNKE system into your router via an Ethernet cable.

3. Run the software ANNKE Vision. Register an administrator account and set up Password Protection.

Note: This account is only for logging in to ANNKE Vision. It’s not the same as your ANNKE system account. (It is suggested to select “Enable Auto-login”)

The username and password can be anything. 

4. Register an account (P2P account) on the mobile app Annke Vision.
Register an account on Annke Vision via your phone number or email address.

5. Come back to ANNKE Vision. Go to Device Management and click Add.  Choose Cloud P2P and select your country/area(the phone APP account area), and click Login.

7. Then log in with the user name and password of your Annke Vision APP account. 

Note: If your user name is the phone number, please input it in this format ‘+441234567890‘ (no space between the country code and the phone number).

If the user name and password are both correct, but the App keeps asking you entering a verification code, please log in again with email address that you used to register the Annke Vision App.

8. If the ANNKE system has been added to the Annke Vision account beforehand, you can see it on the list automatically.
Otherwise, add the system to ANNKE vision account first..

9. Go to the Main View tab page, and click on the folder(the name is your APP account username) under the device list to expand the camera channels. Click the play button on the channels to see the live streaming...

Annke Vision – How to Live Stream Your ANNKE Device on YouTube by FFmpeg?

Using FFmpeg as an encoder for YouTube Live has fewer requirements on the hardware. While you may need some basic knowledge about FFmpeg.

1. How it works?

With the RTSP address from your ANNKE device, and FFmpeg installed on your Windows computer, you can use the below command line in the CMD software to begin a live stream. The live stream will be uploaded to your YouTube channel automatically.

To achieve the above, we will need to:
1). Install FFmpeg on your Windows computer.
2). Get the RTSP address. For a stable RTSP address, we will need to set a Static IP and set up DDNS for your ANNKE device.
3). Get the YouTube stream key: Once your YouTube account has access to YouTube Live, you can find the stream key as the below picture shows.

4. Set a Static IP Address for your ANNKE device

Propose: An ANNKE Device with a static IP address can still be accessed by the same IP after reboot.

Step:
1) Disable DHCP
2) Make sure the device is online

1) Disable DHCP
Log in to your ANNKE Device. Below is the Web interface of the ANNKE device:
Go to Configuration-Network-Basic Settings-TCP/IP, Uncheck DHCP, fill in the below box per your computer in the same network.
Note: You can check DHCP and click Save at first, this will fill in the below box automatically. Then uncheck DHCP and leave the below box as they are.

2) Make sure the device is online
After the above, go to Configuration-Network-Advance Settings-Platform Access, make sure the option Enable is checked and Register Status shows Online as below picture.

5. Set up DDNS for your ANNKE device

Propose: An ANNKE device with DDNS service will have a static IP/hostname on the Internet. This allow you to visit the ANNKE device by a static URL. To achieve this, Port Forwarding on your router is also required.

Steps:
1) Setup your DDNS account
2) Enable DDNS on your ANNKE device
3) Port Forwarding

1) Setup your DDNS account
There are some free DDNS service providers. In this article, we will take NO-IP for example.
After you created an account on the NO-IP website, Click your name at the top right corner, go to Account, then Dynamic DNS
Click Create Hostname

Create your hostname in the box. Leave other parameters as default, click Create Hostname

You will see the hostname in the list.

2) Enable DDNS on your ANNKE device
Log in to your device, go to Configuration-Network-Basic Settings-DDNS, tick on Enable DDNS, fill in the boxes as below:
DDNS Type: NO-IP
Server Address: dynupdate.no-ip.com
Domain: your hostname on no-ip.com
User Name: your user name on no-ip.com
Password & Confirm: your account password on no-ip.com
Then click Save to apply the change.

3) Port Forwarding

Purpose: Port forwarding allows other devices to visit a device in your local network.

Steps:
The steps may vary according to different routers. Below steps are based on the router Virgin Media Hub 3.0:

Click Create a new rule, then fill the boxes as below:
Local IP: your device’s IP.
Local start port: 554
Local end port: 554
External start port: 554
External end port: 554
After that, click Add rule to apply the change.

Now, you can go to canyouseeme.org, input your port number in the Port to Check box, and click Check Port. If you can see the message ‘Success, I can see your service on [your WAN IP] on port (554)’, then the port forwarding has finished.

6. Get the RTSP address

Steps:
1) RTSP address format
2) Test your RTSP address

1) RTSP address format
rtsp://IP:RTSPPort/Streaming/Channes/ID/?transportmode=unicast.sdp

Explanation
ID means mainstream or sub-stream and channel number. If the ID is 102, we will get
a sub-stream of the first channel. If the ID is 101, we will get mainstream.
RTSP URL supports to add username and password:
rtsp://admin:12345@IP:Port/Streaming/Channels/ID/?transportmode=unicast.sdp
The type of authorization supports BASIC and DIGEST.

Examples
Get sub-stream from IP camera on channel 1
rtsp://172.28.1.52:554/Streaming/Channels/102/?transportmode=unicast.sdp

2) Test your RTSP address
Once you finish getting the RSTP address, try it on the VLC player to make sure it’s working.
In VLC player, use the shortcut Ctrl+N or navigate to Media-Open Network Stream. Input your RTSP address in the box, click Play.
When the RTSP address is correct, you will see the live stream from your camera in about 5 seconds.

Annke Vision – Annke IP camera connect with Tinycam Pro

For the Tinycam can only working with IP cameras, It can not connect with NVR. So if you have already had a POE system( NVR+ IP camera), It can not directly get the steam from the POE port. Please connect the IP cameras directly to your router. Please do not forget to have an extended power ( 12V/1A ) for the cameras.
The APP Timycam can only support IP connection, so If you would like to have the image everywhere, Please do the port forwarding for the cameras, you need to contact the router manufactory or network provider to have the correct operation.

If you find the image is not smooth. That is caused by that the app will auto-adjust the stream for the image. so you can change the APP decode method or you can directly change the cameras’ video stream, you can adjust lower the resolution and bitrate from cameras’ setting page.

Step:

1.Adding the cameras. Please select “Add IP camera, NVR/DVR” and edit it.

2. Edit the camera name and select the correct Protocol type by the camera brand.

Please notice that the Tinycam Pro can not directly get Annke Brand, So you need to select the camera brand “Hikvision” and choose a model number( everyone is ok). Don’t worry, our connection protocol is the same as Hikvision.

3. Please input the correct IP and port information. 

“Hostname/IP address“: It would be LAN IP. WAN IP or DDNS. But please notice that If you connect with WAN IP or DDNS, Please do not forget the port forwarding.
“Web port number“: Default is 80. It follows with your camera setting.
“RTSP port number“: Default is 554. It follows with your camera setting.

3. Input the correct account information. the account information is your cameras’ account and password.

4. When you finished the parameter setting, you need to back to the top line to check the connection status.

“OK” means the camera is correct to connect to your system.

Click the “camera status“, you can get the detail stream information and image.

5. When you finish the camera setting, you can directly go to the live view to have the camera image.

Annke Vision – How to Activate ANNKE IP Camera via Web Browser (Without DVR/NVR)?

You may find the camera’s IP address and access/activate it on the local network via the web browser.

Text Guide:

1. Power on the camera by using the power adapter or POE switch for the POE cameras.

2. Connect the camera to the router/POE switch by ethernet cable.

3. Get a computer that is connected to the same router. In other words, computers and cameras are in the same network area.

4. Download software SADPTool and install it on the computer. Here is the software download link.

5. Run the software SADP tool and click refresh. It will find the camera’s IP, and its status is Inactive.
Note: If the status is Active and the camera was connected to the ANNKE NVR before, the password of the camera is the same as the NVR.

6. Select the device on the tool and create a new password to activate it.
The new password should contain 8-16 characters with at least two combinations of numbers, lowercase, uppercase, and special characters, no ‘admin’ included.

7. Access the camera by inputting the IP address of the camera on the IE web browser. 
Then, input the user name admin and password you created.
Note: The cameras could be viewed on the IE web browser only because there is no web plug-in for any other web browser now.

Annke Vision – How to Access DVR/NVR System on The Web Browser from PC(in the Same Local Network)?

Safari browser is not supported.

The following browsers are supported:
IE 10, IE 11, Chrome 57.0+, Firefox 52.0+ and Edge 89+

Our device plugin is most compatible with IE 10 and IE 11 browsers. In IE browser we can view the device and modify the relevant settings more smoothly.

For Chrome 57.0+, Firefox 52.0+ and Edge 89+ browsers, we can view the device without the plugin. But please note that we still need to download the plugin if we want to change the relevant device settings from them.

2. Find DVR/NVR’s IP address.  There are two ways to find the IP address:

Annke Vision — How to Access the Web interface of ANNKE PoE Cameras via Browser? (Without NVR)

Purpose: Some features of the ANNKE PoE camera need to be configured on the camera’s Web interface (it’s individual setting page).

Note:

Safari browser is not supported.

The following browsers are supported:
IE 10, IE 11, Chrome 57.0+, Firefox 52.0+ and Edge 89+

Our device plugin is most compatible with IE 10 and IE 11 browsers. In IE browser we can view the device and modify the relevant settings more smoothly.

For Chrome 57.0+, Firefox 52.0+ and Edge 89+ browsers, we can view the device without the plugin. But please note that we still need to download the plugin if we want to change the relevant device settings from them.

1) For all the mentioned camera models, their live stream will work on the IE browser after installing the plugin.
2) For model I91BM/I91BN/I91BL/I91BK/I81HB, their live stream can also work on Chrome and Firefox after installing the plugin.

Steps:

1. Connect the camera to a 12V DC power supply (must be 12 Volt, can be 1 Amp or above) and to a broadband router by ethernet cable.

2. Run the SADP software on a computer in the local network.

For Windows system:

The SADP will detect the camera’s IP address. Follow the below picture to enable DHCP for the camera.

Input the IP address in a Web browser ( IE browser is recommended).

3. Input the user name and password of the camera to log in. (Generally, the username is “admin” with all letters in lowercase)
If you use the camera for the first time, you need to activate the camera at first and set an admin password for it;
If the camera has been activated on the ANNKE NVR, the camera’s password is the same as your NVR’s admin password.

4. Now you can see the camera’s Web interface. Explore and have fun 🙂

If you find the camera live view fail to load when clicking the button “Start Live View “on the webpage, please try the below solutions:
1. Click the “Download Plug-in” button to download and install the webpage plugin.
2. Copy the webpage address then visit it via IE browser, or via Microsoft Edge browser (requires reloading the page into IE mode).

Annke Vision – How to Access the Annke IP Camera’s Setting Page via Web Browsers?

Some of the cameras’ functions can only be configured in their individual setting page. Below is the instruction to enter Annke’s IP cameras’ individual setting page.

Step 1:

Connect your IP camera and your computer to the same network/router. The connection can be either via ethernet cable or WiFi.

Step 2:

Find the IP address of your IP camera. The procedures depend on your computer.

  a). If your computer is NOT a Windows computer: Please access your router to find the camera’s IP address (You may need to contact your router’s seller for further information).

b). If your computer is a Windows computer: You can use the software called SADP TOOL to find the IP address. Below are the steps:
b-1). Please download and install the software SADPTOOL.exe to your computer:

b-2). Run the software and you will find the camera’s IP address on the device list.


b-3). Double-click on the IP address (or input it into your web browser manually) then you will see the camera’s login page. Input the user name ‘admin’ and the camera’s password to proceed.


b-4). Click on the Configuration tab to enter the camera’s settings page.

Note: The web page layout may be a little different according to different camera models.

Annke Vision – Modify Output Resolution of ANNKE Systems on the Web Interface

Purpose: This instruction introduces the method to change the output resolution of the ANNKE system. It is effective when the ANNKE system doesn’t show any display on the TV/monitor due to a mismatch of output resolution between them.

Steps:

1.Connect your ANNKE system to your home router via an ethernet cable.

2.Connect your computer to the same router with the DVR wired or wirelessly.

3.Download the SADP software on your computer to search the IP of your DVR/NVR.

4.Run SADP and it will show the IP address of your DVR/NVR automatically.

5.Input this IP address into the IE browser. The user name is ‘admin’ and the password is your system‘s login password.

6.When you log in, navigate to Configuration–System–System Settings–Menu Output. Change the VGA/HDMI resolution. It’s recommended to match this resolution to your TV/monitor resolution.
If you are not sure, just select the lowest resolution for the ANNKE system.

Annke Vision – How to Restore the DVR/NVR on Computer Browser with Its IP Address Locally?

Steps:

1. Enter the DVR/NVR on the computer browser with its IP locally. Please refer to the below link:

Annke Vision – How to Get a Capture/Screenshot of the Camera’s Image on the Computer/Phone APP?

First of all, please add the cameras system to computer software and the phone APP.

Secondly, please follow the below steps to get the capture/screenshot of the camera’s image:

On Guarding Vision, please select the camera and right-click the mouse, and then click Capture:

After that, the capture will be saved on the computer, and you could click the link on the right corner to check the capture directly:

On the phone APP, please preview the cameras, and then select the camera button to take a screenshot for the camera:

After that, you could check the screenshot of the camera’s image on the More–>Pictures and Videos:

If you view the cameras on the monitor and the computer, please select the camera and double-check it. Or please view the camera in one screen mode. After that, the camera will be displayed in the mainstream and the picture will be clearer so that you could get a clearer capture from the computer.

If you view the cameras on the phone APP, you could switch the mode from Basic to HD so that you could get a clearer screenshot from the mobile phone.

Annke Vision – How to Stop Audible Alarming Via the Browser?

Purpose: If you want to stop audible alarming for the system, please refer to this instruction to change the setting.

Steps:

1. Please get a windows computer which is in the same network area as the camera is. In other words, the camera and computer must be connected to the same router, by cable or by wifi.

2 Install the software on the computer. Here is the download link.

3. Run the software to detect the system’s IP.

4. Please copy the IP address to Internet Explorer and access the system’s page by its IP. 

6. Please log in to the system and go to the Configuration-Basic event.
On this page, you could disable the audible warning for every event.
Here are the images of each interface. You could go to the interface of these setting to turn off the audible warning according to your needs.

For example, if you don’t want to have an audible warning when there is a motion detected, please go to the Motion Detection page to disable the audible warning. See the first picture below:

You could also go to smart event to disable the audible warning. Please note that this option is not available on all models and systems.

What is the default language of LongPlus App?

How many LongPlus security cameras can connect to one account?

🟠 One account is capable of 50 cameras maximum. However, we recommend having no more than 12 cameras connected to a single Wi-Fi network to ensure the best connection.

What are the differences between all subscriptions?

🟠 If you have No Plan, you can enjoy 3-day + no more than 0.5 GB cloud storage of recorded videos for free. But you cannot use intelligent features, such as AI Analysis, intelligent notifications, and activity zones. Once you register a LongPlus account, you get the 3-day + no more than 0.5 GB cloud storage of recorded videos automatically.

Will there be a reminder when the camera battery is low?

🟠 You will receive a notification from the APP when the camera’s battery is below 10%.

Why can’t I receive a verification code when I register the app?

How to adjust the video time?

The time in the upper left corner of the video (live video, cloud video, and microSD video) is decided on the time zone where the camera is located.

Usually, the time zone of the camera is the same as the time zone of the phone. If the current time is not what you want, you can adjust it by changing the time zone for the camera.

How to change time zone: tap the camera “setting” icon > tap the “>” extension icon > tap “More info” > tap “Time Zone”.

* If you want to change the time from military time (24-hour) to regular Time (12-hour), we are working on it, stay tuned!

* Currently LongPlus does not support the 12-hour system for mobile phone systems, and there will be abnormal recording problems

How to enable motion detection?

After the motion detection feature is enabled, any movements in the camera’s field of view will activate the camera. Next, the camera will record videos of the movements and notify you of the movements (of course, to receive notifications, you also need to enable “Notification” under the “Notification Setting” page.)

To enable the motion detection feature, please tap the camera “setting” icon > tap “Motion Detection” > enable “Motion Detection”.

How to set the motion detection duration?

Please tap the camera “setting” icon > tap “Motion Detection” > tap “Duration” and select the duration you want.

How to enable night vision?

After “Night Vision” is enabled, the camera will be able to “see” clearly in the dark. Particularly, it will offer high-quality nighttime images.

To enable “Night Vision”, please tap the camera “setting” icon > tap “Lighting Setting” > enable “Night Vision”.

There are two night vision modes, infrared mode and white light mode. The difference between the two modes is in the color rendering of the picture. In infrared mode, the picture is in black and white and is clearer while in white light mode, the color of the picture will be restored to the greatest extent.

How to adjust the sensitivity of night vision?

The sensitivity of night vision is actually the sensitivity of the ambient light sensor. The ambient light sensor senses the brightness of the light available around your camera. When it senses that the light is darker than the threshold, the camera will enter the night vision mode. By adjusting the sensitivity, you can control how easily the camera enters the night vision mode. The higher the sensitivity, the easier the camera enters the night vision mode.

To adjust the sensitivity, please tap the camera “setting” icon > tap “Lighting Setting” > tap “Light sensitivity level”.

How to turn on the white light/spotlight?

Important: Most battery cameras have a white light/spotlight. However, for a few battery cameras, they don’t have a white light/spotlight. Neither do the plug-in cameras.

You can tap the camera “setting” icon > tap “Lighting Setting” > enable “Flashlight Alarm”. After that, the white light/spotlight will be flashing for a while once the camera is triggered by any movements. Of course, if there is no “Flashlight Alarm” option under the “Lighting Setting” page, that means that your camera does not support a white light/spotlight.

However, if you want the camera’s white light/spotlight to be on constantly in the dark or at night, you can turn off “Flashlight Alarm” and set “Night Vision Mode” as “White light mode” instead.

How to use AI recognition feature?

This is a paid feature, and you need to purchase the Awareness service to use it.

After you purchase the Awareness service, the AI recognition feature is enabled, and the cloud system can be able to recognize people, pets, vehicles, and packages in the video and analyze their actions to send you smart notifications.

These videos will be encrypted and analyzed by an AI algorithm in the cloud server (AWS), and then according to your selection (person/pet/vehicle/package) to decide whether to send you a notification or not. 

The introduction of AI recognition feature

The AI analysis result comes from encrypted AI algorithm analysis. Once you turn on the classification feature, the camera will analyze the video and you will be notified only when the camera recognizes a person, pet, vehicle, or package. The smart notifications depend on which classification(s) you select.

You can quickly filter out all videos of dropped-off/picked-up/delivered packages by only selecting the corresponding tag.

How to filter out videos with tags?

Tap Library tab-> Tap the “search” icon on the top left->select any tag you want to see->tap Save on the top right. Then you will be able to see all recordings made with the tag you select.

1. Currently, once you purchase the Awareness service, it will apply to all the added cameras.

2. This AI recognition will reduce push disturbances and will help you quickly know the movements.

How to set up the Activity Zone?

This is a paid feature, and you need to purchase the Cloud service to use it.

🟠 Activity Zone is a cloud-based feature that encrypted analyzes the motions and interactions in the set zone using an AWS computing server. It is a feature combined with intelligent push.

What is a package detection feature?

This is a paid feature, and you need to purchase the Awareness service to use it.

Package detection is a technology based on the continuous evolution of algorithms and massive data. When the camera watches the package being picked up or put down, it will notify you of a push message. You can check the status of the package in the push message in the notification bar. The detected package is highlighted by a bounding box in your notification.

How to make Package Detection work?

     1.Camera position and distance.

It is recommended to place your camera at a height of about 8 feet( 2.5 meters) and tilt it so that you can see the area where the package is located.

At the same time, the distance between the camera and the package should not exceed 10 feet (3 meters).

After removing the camera for charging or changing the location of the camera, remember to reconfirm whether the package position is accurate.

     2.Camera view.

Please make sure that the package is visible in camera view and that it is not blocked by other objects.

At night or in the case of insufficient light, the detection capability is decreased. Please mainly refer to the detection results during the day or under sufficient light conditions.

      3.Select package.

Please don’t forget to select the package in the Notification Settings/ Smart Push.

At the same time, frame the area where the package may appear on the video screen in conjunction with the location of the package on the ground to improve the recognition accuracy of the package.

Tips: The minimum detection size of a package is 8x10x1in (20x25x2.5). It may be difficult to detect a package that is less than the minimum size.

Why sometimes a package cannot be detected?

Can the device volume be adjusted?

🟠 Yes, you can tap the camera “setting” icon->tap Sound Setting to enable the siren of the camera, set the voice language and volume for the camera.

How to view the app version?

🟠 To view the app version, please open the app > tap “User” > tap “About us”.

🟠 BTW, if you want to update the app or check whether there is a new version available, you can open the “Google Play” app or the “App Store” app > search for “LongPlus”

Why are notifications delayed?

🟠 There are three steps to receive a motion event notification on your phone.

Usually, all three steps will be completed within a few seconds. However, in some cases, a delay may occur at step 1 or 3.

There may be tens of seconds delay at Step 1. In most cases, this is due to a poor or unstable network connection. Please check and ensure that the Wi-Fi network connection is good and the camera is installed in a place with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Please also select 720p resolution (SD) for video recording to reduce streaming bandwidth.

There may be minutes or even tens of minutes delay at Step 3. Many external factors might cause this delay, such as Apple/Google’s notification server, the phone’s poor or unstable network connection, etc. Most of the time, it can return to normal after a while.

🗒️ Note: For some brands of Android phones, to fix the delay, you must add our App to the battery-saving whitelist in your phone’s Settings. It’s because the battery management of these Android phones will kill all background running apps, causing the apps to fail to receive the notifications from Google(Android) notification server in time.
How to add our App to the battery-saving whitelist: Go to your phone’s Settings > Apps > Our App > Battery > Battery optimization > Don’t optimize.

Why can’t I receive notifications?

🟠 The failure to receive notifications may be caused by the following reasons, please check one by one:

(1) The LongPlus app is not granted “Notifications” permission. When the “Notifications” permission is not allowed, your phone isn’t able to receive any notifications from LongPlus app. Please open the Settings app on your phone > find/search for “LongPlus” > tap “Notifications” and enable it.

(2) The “Motion Detection” feature is not enabled. When “Motion Detection” is disabled, the camera isn’t able to be triggered by any movements, let alone notifications. Please open LongPlus app > tap the camera “setting” icon > tap “Motion Detection” > enable “Motion Detection”.

(3) The “Notification” feature is not enabled. When “Notification” is disabled, the camera is only able to record videos of the movements but isn’t able to send notifications to your phone. Please open LongPlus app > tap the camera “user” icon > tap “Message” > enable “Notification”.

(4) The camera’s Wi-Fi connection or your phone’s network connection is poor or unstable. Please check and ensure that both your camera’s Wi-Fi connection and your phone’s network connection are good for receiving notifications.

Why can’t I receive notifications?

🟠 The failure to receive notifications may be caused by the following reasons, please check one by one:

(1) The LongPlus app is not granted “Notifications” permission. When the “Notifications” permission is not allowed, your phone isn’t able to receive any notifications from LongPlus app. Please open the Settings app on your phone > find/search for “LongPlus” > tap “Notifications” and enable it.

(4) The camera’s Wi-Fi connection or your phone’s network connection is poor or unstable. Please check and ensure that both your camera’s Wi-Fi connection and your phone’s network connection are good for receiving notifications.

Why are notifications delayed after purchasing a plan?

🟠 When you have no plan, there are three steps to receive a motion event notification on your phone.

However, when you purchase a plan, there will be one more step between Step 1 and Step 3. That is: The motion event is been analyzed by the AI algorithms in the cloud to decide whether to send the notification or not. For example, if you select “Person” under the “Notification Setting” page in the app and the camera recognizes a person in the motion event after analysis, it will decide to send the notification, and vice versa. That’s exactly why you may feel a little longer to receive a notification after paying.

How to cancel automatic renewal?

🟠 For iOS users, to cancel the automatic renewal, please manually turn off the automatic renewal in iTunes/Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the expiration time of your subscription. You can cancel it in iCloud payments, Setting – iTunes Store & App Store – Apple ID – View Apple ID – Account – Subscription, find our App, and close.

🟠 For android users, to cancel the automatic renewal, please manually turn off the automatic renewal in Google Play Store settings at least 24 hours before the expiration time of your subscription. You can cancel it in Play Store payments, Mine – Subscription, find our App, and close.

🗒️ Note: If you cancel within 24 hours before your service expires, you will still be charged for the next subscription period. The subscription service will end at the end of the next subscription period.

Remember the password when logging in

🟠 Please click the Remember Password button below your account password.

When you check the 「Remember password」 option, we will encrypt and store this information locally on your phone. After you check this option, you don’t have to enter the password again when you log in next time. Please be assured that the information will not be passed on. You can also choose not to check this option, we will not record locally, and you need to enter the password again when you log in next time.

Remember Wi-Fi name and password after successful connection

🟠 When you select the “Remember Wi-Fi name and password after successful connection” option, we will encrypt and store this information locally on your phone, and will not transmit it to the outside. You can delete this information at any time.

How to reset the password?

🟠 Currently, there are two ways to support password resetting.

(1) If you remember the current password, please click your account avatar in the “User” Section > tap “Change password” and follow the instructions on the page to reset your password.

(2) If you have forgotten your current password, please click “Forgot your password?” in the login page, then you need to enter the e-mail/phone of your account to accept the verification code. After entering the correct verification code, you can reset your password.

🗒️ Note: The password must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number, and the minimum length of the password must be 8 characters.

Why is a log-in prompt message indicating no account has been registered, although the account has been registered?

🟠 The following reasons may lead to the error prompt. Please check them one by one:

(1) Please confirm whether to select the corresponding country.

(2) Please make sure the account and password you entered are correct.

(3) Spelling error. Please ensure your account and password are spelled correctly. A misspelling may result in an account that doesn’t exist.

Why is the connection unsuccessful after scanning?

If the camera cannot scan the QR code generated by the app, the reasons may be as follows. Please check them one by one.

🟠 Camera is not in scan mode (continuous “ding dong ding dong” sound)

🟠 The camera lens is dirty. Please peel off the plastic protective film first. If your camera’s lens is dirty, clean it. Please avoid leaving fingerprints on the camera lens.

🟠 The camera cannot find the focus of the QR code

🟠 Make sure the phone and camera are aligned, then slowly move the camera back and forth to the QR code on the phone to find focus.

🟠 The distance between the camera and the phone should be 6-12 inches (15-30 cm).

🟠 Please do not scan the QR code in a backlit or dark environment.

What should I do if the camera reports an error after scanning the QR code?

🟠 The camera reports a “Wi-Fi SSID not found” error
The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Please make sure to connect the camera to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Please make sure the Wi-Fi signal is present and working. You can try to connect Wi-Fi to your phone, if you can get online normally, it means Wi-Fi is working properly.

This error may be caused by the camera being too far away from the Wi-Fi router. Please place the camera near the Wi-Fi router or as close as possible to the Wi-Fi router.
It is recommended that the Wi-Fi SSID (name) does not contain special characters or is too long. If the Wi-Fi SSID (name) contains special characters or is too long, try simplifying the Wi-Fi SSID and try again.

🟠 The camera reports a “Wi-Fi password error” error
Please double check the password you have entered and make sure it is correct. Note special characters such as spaces.
It is recommended that the Wi-Fi password not contain special characters or be too long. If the Wi-Fi password contains special characters or is too long, try simplifying the password and try again.

🟠 The camera reports a “Cloud service connection failed” error
If the camera reports a “cloud service connection failed” error, it means the camera cannot establish a connection with the cloud server.
Please make sure your Wi-Fi router is connected to an available network. You can try to connect Wi-Fi to your phone, if you can get online normally, it means Wi-Fi is working properly.
If yes, but the problem persists, restart the Wi-Fi router and try again.

If the problem persists after restarting the Wi-Fi router, it is likely that the Wi-Fi router is subject to some restrictions. In this case, you can try the following:
Unrestrict the Wi-Fi router: enter the administrator address of the router in the browser address bar (usually the administrator address will be written on the main body of the router) > enter the administrator password to enter the management site > click LAN > click DHCP Servers > Under “DNS and WINS Server Settings” set Server 1 to 8.8.8.8 and Server 2 to 8.8.4.4.

If possible, reset and reconfigure your Wi-Fi router Or try connecting the camera to another Wi-Fi.

🟠 The camera reports an “authentication error” error
This error may be caused by an unsupported authentication method for the router.
Please set the authentication method of the router to WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK. Please note that the camera only supports the AES encryption algorithm, not the TKIP encryption algorithm.
The error can also be caused by special authentication methods like SMS/Web authentication being enabled.
Please disable any special authentication methods such as SMS/Web authentication.
If possible, try connecting the camera to another Wi-Fi.

🟠 The camera reports a “timed out retrieving IP” error
The error may be caused by the router’s DHCP server not being enabled.
Please enter the administrator address of the router in the browser address bar (usually the administrator address will be written on the main body of the router) > enter the administrator password to enter the management site > click LAN > click DHCP server to make sure the DHCP server is enabled And the IP pool address is set correctly.

The error may also be due to too many devices connected to the router, so the camera cannot obtain an IP address from the router.
Please try restarting the router and try connecting the camera again.
If possible, try connecting the camera to another Wi-Fi.

If the camera does not report anything, or if you are still unable to connect to the camera after trying the listed solutions, please submit feedback on the app for further technical assistance.

Why can’t I find the QR code on the camera body?

🟠 The QR code on the camera body includes the model number and serial number of the camera. It’s usually affixed to the camera’s sticker.

🟠 With some (special) models, you may need to remove the camera’s case to access it.

For other models, there is no QR code on the camera body. In this case, you can directly submit feedback for further technical support.
